Random facts about the Austin 7
- Much of the fabric used on the fabric-bodied versions of the Austin 7 went under the trade name of ZAPON and was manufactured by the Ioca Rubber and Waterproofing Company of Glasgow.
- A cheaper version of the Austin 7 Ruby was also offered and it featured a ‘smokers light’ rooflight and came with no bumpers and black painted radiator slats.
